The “City with Small Town Charm,” founded in 1884 around Nine Mile Pond, now Lake Lillian.

Belleview was founded in 1884 around Nine Mile Pond, “a pond nine miles away from the larger settlement of Ocala,” which today is Lake Lillian, still the city’s focal point, with a fishing dock, picnic pavilions and a walking trail. The City says the name comes from the French words “belle” and “view,” which it translates as “beautiful vistas,” and it calls itself the “City with Small Town Charm.”

About 6,500 people live here: 6,512 in the Census Bureau’s 2025 estimate, up from 5,413 in 2020. Just over half the homes are single-family houses and about a quarter are mobile homes, so the work is remodels, roofs, additions and renovation debris. City Hall on SE Abshier Boulevard is about 10 miles south-south-east of our yard straight down US 27/301/441. One rule to know first: Belleview’s code says no dumpster may ever be placed on the city right-of-way, so it goes on your property.

Where We Deliver in Belleview

Areas we cover

  • Around Lake Lillian and the city center: older homes, remodels and roofs
  • The newer streets built since 2000, a little over a quarter of the city: additions, remodels and new-build cleanup
  • Mobile-home properties, about a quarter of the city’s homes: renovation and tear-out debris

In Belleview our containers are for construction, remodeling, roofing and demolition debris: construction, roll-off and commercial dumpster rental, with same-day delivery, in all five sizes. Household garbage inside city limits is collected under the City’s own residential collection arrangement, so we leave cleanout and junk loads there to it. Outside city limits, in unincorporated Marion County, we also do home cleanouts, junk removal and yard-waste containers.

Do I need a permit in Belleview?

Belleview’s code is plain about the street. Section 66-44(c) says: “At no time shall a dumpster be placed on the city right-of-way.” Its right-of-way rules add that “any construction or objects placed in the public right-of-way without benefit of a permit shall be subject to removal at the discretion of the city commissioners” (§ 74-36). So in Belleview the container goes on your driveway or lot, never in the street, and anything else is a question for City Hall (5343 SE Abshier Blvd) before delivery, not after. The City publishes no rule or time limit for a container on private property. The code also says who deals with the debris: construction and demolition debris, and the shingles, felt and other debris from a roof job, are the responsibility of the owner and the person doing the work, and none of it may go in household trash containers or be set out at the curb for collection (§ 66-16). And if a demolition or renovation removes asbestos-containing material above the Asbestos NESHAP thresholds, a Notice of Renovation or Demolition must go to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection at least 10 working days before work starts; Marion County projects go to its Central District office (407-897-4100).

FAQ

Belleview dumpster rental questions

  • Is a permit needed for a dumpster in Belleview?
Belleview code § 66-44(c): “At no time shall a dumpster be placed on the city right-of-way.” So the container goes on your driveway or lot; the City publishes no rule for a container on private property.
  • How far ahead should I book in Belleview?
Call early and we can often deliver the same day. City Hall is about 10 miles south-south-east of our yard, straight down US 27/301/441.
  • Can the roll-off sit on the street in front of my house?
No. Belleview’s code says that at no time may a dumpster be placed on the city right-of-way. It goes on your driveway or lot; if the drive is short, a 10 or 15-yard fits more easily. Send us a photo and we will check before the truck comes.
  • Will the garbage truck take my old shingles?
No. Belleview’s code makes roofing tear-off and other construction debris the responsibility of the owner and the person doing the work, and none of it may go in your household trash container or out for collection. A 10 or 15-yard is the usual box for shingles, because they are heavy; see our sizes page.
