Construction Dumpster Rental in Ocala, FL

Construction dumpster rental is the core of what we do, and it is the work Ocala’s own code leaves to private haulers: the City’s exclusive collection excludes construction and demolition debris, and its residential sheet tells people that construction debris belongs “in a roll off container (from a private hauler).” BrickCity Roll Off keeps 10, 15, 20, 30 and 40-yard job site dumpsters moving across Ocala and Marion County: renovations in the older homes around downtown, new builds and finishes in Marion Oaks and Summerfield, roofing everywhere, and demolition from sheds and mobile homes to whole houses.

Contractors call us because we answer the phone at any hour, we turn swaps around fast from our downtown yard, and the price we quote is the price on the invoice: one flat rate per haul with the weight allowance stated up front.

Sizing construction debris

Weight decides the size on a construction job. A gut renovation, a new build or a fit-out produces bulky, light debris, so a 30-yard is the usual container and a 40-yard the choice on a big site. Roofing shingles, plaster, concrete, block and brick are heavy: they go in 10, 15 or 20-yard containers, loaded level with the rail, so the truck stays within its legal weight. Keep household trash out of a construction container; Florida law says mixing construction and demolition debris with other solid waste makes the whole load something other than C&D. Our size guide has the dimensions and allowances.

Permits and asbestos

Inside Ocala city limits, construction permits go through the City’s Customer Service Center at 201 SE 3rd St., 2nd floor, or the eTrakit portal (Permit Center 352-629-8421, building@ocalafl.gov). Belleview, Dunnellon, Williston and Marion County run their own building departments.

The state rule is the one that catches people out. If a demolition or renovation removes asbestos-containing material above the federal Asbestos NESHAP thresholds, a Notice of Renovation or Demolition must reach the Florida Department of Environmental Protection at least 10 working days before work starts. Marion County projects go to FDEP’s Central District office (407-897-4100), and the fee is $100 filed electronically with “Pay Now,” or $200 otherwise. Asbestos never rides in one of our containers.

Keeping a job site tidy

Several codes around Ocala put construction debris on the owner and the person doing the work. Belleview’s says the disposal of construction and demolition debris and roofing debris “shall be the responsibility of the owner and person performing the work,” and that none of it goes in a residential trash container or out for curbside pickup. Dunnellon’s says such debris “must be removed by the owner or contractor performing such work.” A roll-off with a regular swap answers both, and we set the swap schedule so the container never becomes the problem.

Construction Dumpster Rental FAQ
  • Can you deliver to a site with no one there?
Yes. Give us the drop location, any gate code, and which way you want the door facing. We send a photo when it is placed.
  • How fast can you swap a full container?
Usually the same day if you call before noon, otherwise the next morning. For long jobs we schedule swaps in advance.
  • Do I need to notify the state before a demolition?
If the work removes asbestos-containing material above the Asbestos NESHAP thresholds, yes: a Notice of Renovation or Demolition goes to FDEP’s Central District (407-897-4100) at least 10 working days before work starts. Get that moving before you book the container; we schedule the drop around it.
  • Do you take roofing shingles?
Yes, in a 15 or 20-yard container sized for weight. Tell us the square footage and the number of layers.
